Provincial police have laid multiple charges following a sexual assault investigation involving children in Muskoka, and authorities believe there may be additional victims.

Huntsville OPP say the investigation began on March 18 after reports that a suspect, posing as a police officer, allegedly assaulted two children at a local resort.

Investigators later determined the accused had travelled to the area from eastern Ontario.
