Crash in Muskoka leads to impaired driving charges

Bracebridge OPP say they have charged one person with impaired driving after responding to a collision in Muskoka Lakes Township.

On Saturday just before 1:00 p.m., officers attended to reports of a vehicle that had left the roadway and collided in the ditch on Russ Hammell Road.

A 30-year-old Aurora man was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Dangerous Operation CC 320.13(1)
  • Obstruct Peace Officer CC 129(a)
  • Fail to Remain at Collision under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) 200(1)(a)
  • Drive with No Licence HTA 32(1)

He has a court date scheduled for late August.
