3 new December movies to see before the month is over

In theatres and at home!
December Movies

The month is coming to a close and 2022 will be here before you know it. While 2021 has been a solid year for movies, there are still 3 more big December movies to check out before the month is over.

The King's Man

A prequel to wrap up the trilogy, The King's Man is another high stakes action-adventure film, but this time it's set in the early 20th century. Leading the cast is the always wonderful Ralph Fiennes and the film will once again be directed by Mathew Vaughn, who helmed the first two movies. While the first film surprised many people with just how good it was, both films were fun popcorn flicks that don't take themselves too seriously. If you want an over-the-top action movie with inventive fight scenes (and a healthy amount of slo-mo), definitely check out The King's Man which hits theatres today!

The Matrix Resurrections

Also hitting theatres today, The Matrix Resurrections is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. It sees a few stars reprising their iconic roles like Keanu Reeves as Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity, while also giving some newcomers a chance to put their mark on the series like Yahya Adbul-Mateen II as Morpheus and Jonathan Groff as Agent Smith. We wouldn't expect it to reach the genre and era-defining heights of the first film, but hoping it's better than the two follow-up films isn't too much of a stretch.

Don't Look Up

The final film on the list is Don't Look Up, and while it has been enjoying a theatrical run since December 10, it's actually coming to Netflix on Christmas Eve! The story follows two low-level astronomers who must go on a media tour to warn mankind about the Impeding doom of the planet due to an approaching comet. A comedy film, the real draw of this movie is just how stacked the cast is: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Cate Blanchett, and more all make appearances in the film. Even Captain America himself, Chris Evans, couldn't stay away from this one.
