New paramedic and health services facility open in Elmvale
Also a place for seniors to play
The County of Simcoe and Township of Springwater took the wraps off a new health and emergency services centre Thursday in Elmvale.
The facility, at 17 Allenwood Road, will not only serve as a new home base for local paramedics but also offer a Seniors Services Adult Day Program to meet growing demand in the community.
It was a great moment today as we opened the new #Elmvale Health and Emergency Services Centre. The day was a little chilly, but the @MedicHonorGuard braved the weather for the flag raising. Many thanks to our Honour Guard for representing the service so professionally. pic.twitter.com/W2q3FoaSSf

“This is another example of the County continuing to make responsible and impactful investments in our communities,” said Warden George Cornell. “Both Paramedic Services and our Adult Day Program are vital lifelines to the residents they serve, and the new Elmvale Health and Emergency Services Centre will enable the County to better control long term costs and meet growing demands for our services.”
Until now, Simcoe County Paramedics have been sharing space in the town’s firehall.
