Novice driver nabbed for stunt driving in Bradford
Officer smelled pot while chatting with the motorist
A 20-year-old motorist who appeared to be in a hurry to get somewhere was nabbed on County Road 88 in Bradford late Sunday morning.
South Simcoe Police clocked the driver at 142 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. While chatting with the driver, the officer was able to detect a strong smell of marijuana. Police said they found small containers with cannabis on the passenger side. A roadside test was administered and the driver registered a positive reading for THC.
The motorist faces a total of five speed and drug-related charges.
