Numbers continue to trend in the right direction as Public Health Ontario confirms fewer than 200 new cases

Eight lives lost since yesterday's update

Following a slight blip on Saturday, the province’s COVID-19 numbers continue to fall below 200.

On Monday, Public Health Ontario announced just 181 new cases of COVID-19 province-wide, after confirming 197 on Sunday. There were 266 new cases confirmed Saturday however, but 182 on Friday.

This comes as the province confirmed another 252 people who have recovered from COVID-19, as well as eight lives lost.

The province reports over 21,000 tests were run in a day to get these results, while over 18,000 waited to be run. To date, the province has run over a million COVID-19 tests.
