A woman is eating her words after a bidding war started over her husband's ladder.

Heather Thompson Day posted several items for sale on Facebook Marketplace, including her hubby's exquisite 12 ft ladder.

She initially didn't think anyone would want it, but she was wrong.

Her original post stated "My husband asked me to post his ladder. "I said, 'no one wants your ladder. … I have big items like benches and couches and tables.'"

A few moments later, Heather dodged inquiries from every man in the area.

Her follow-up post stated, "I post the ladder and friends IT IS COMPLETE MAYHEM." Every man within 50 miles WANTS THIS LADDER!"

She followed it up" "JUST GOT ANOTHER INQUIRY ON THE LADDER AS I TYPE. Another man asked if he could call my husband's phone (it's past 10pm) to solidify his position with the ladder."

She later posted the photo to "X" displaying the 12 foot thirst trap.

The comments to her photo were amazing, including one guy who made sense of why it was so wanted.

"I mean to be fair it's a 12 foot Werner fiberglass rated for 300 pounds (you can tell by the color of the ladder) which means it's osha approved for jobsite use. Not sure what you listed it for but I'm assuming it's cheaper than retail so no surprise everyone wants it." said the comment.

Finally, after several more inquiries and less than 24 hours after her posting the red beauty for sale, the ladder had its new owner.

Fortunately for Heather, someone eventually enquired about the other furniture for sale, but with less enthusiasm.
