
Two men in their early 20s from Mississauga have been charged after a robbery at an Orillia business.
Provincial police say they responded around 11 a.m. Tuesday about a report of a robbery in progress on Front Street North, near Neywash Street.
Police say they were told that two people entered the store armed with hammers, stole property, and the left in the vehicle.
Officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle southbound on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte.
Two people were taken into custody, and police recovered stolen property.
Police say both suspects were charged with robbery with theft, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
One of the suspects was also charged with assault with a weapon.
Both were held for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
