UPDATE: Bracebridge OPP say the body of a 31-year-old man was recovered from Lake Muskoka around 6:30 on Sunday evening.
In an earlier media release, police had said the victim was from the Toronto area.
Authorities added they would like to thank members of the public for their support and information during this search.

Bracebridge OPP along with the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) conducted a thorough search of Lake Muskoka for a male that was reported missing. Sadly, at 6:30 p.m. the 31-year-old was recovered deceased from the water.
Police would like to thank members of the public for their support and information during this search.
Police are searching Lake Muskoka in Gravenhurst after a 911 call shortly before 11:30 Sunday morning about a possible drowning.
First responders went to an address on Muskoka Road 169 near Glen Echo Road after family members of a Toronto area man between 25 and 30 years old reported he took a kayak out onto Lake Muskoka near Taylor Island and encountered difficulties causing him to enter the water.
Members of the Bracebridge OPP marine unit are involved in the search, assisted by the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.
