(UPDATE) OPP recover body of missing person from Lake St. George

The body of a person who was reported missing was recovered Tuesday from Lake St. George in Severn Township.

Orillia OPP say first responders headed to the lake late Friday afternoon after they received reports of a missing person who was last seen in the water.

The body was recovered by the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit with the assistance of the Orillia OPP Marine Unit.

Police say the identify of the victim will not be released.
