Provincial police believe they have identified the driver and vehicle involved in a fail-to-remain collision that injured a cyclist south of Wyevale.
Investigators said a male resident of northern Simcoe County spoke with police at the detachment on Saturday afternoon regarding the collision which happened just before 9 p.m. on September 10 on County Road 6 in Tiny Township.
A motorist found the injured cyclist and contacted police. A 44-year-old Wasaga Beach man was transported to the hospital in Midland with serious injuries.
At the time, police said they were searching for what was believed to be a 2019-2020 Nissan Infiniti QX60, blue in colour, that may have had damage to its passenger side headlights, trim and mirror.
Police said in a statement Saturday that their investigation is continuing.
