OPP seize drugs, as well as chain and brooch valued at $30K, charge Orillia man

A 21-year-old Orillia man is up on drug trafficking charges after police began an investigation in January regarding an individual who was allegedly dealing drugs in the community.

On Thursday, OPP say they took a suspect into custody.

As a result of the investigation, the following was seized:

  • cocaine 31 grams
  • 35 oxycodone pills
  • MDMA (ecstasy) 1 gram
  • two digital scales
  • two cellular devices
  • gold chain and brooch - value $30,000
  • Canadian Currency $4380

The suspect has been charged with the following:

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Opioid (other than heroin)

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

·      Possession of schedule 1 substance (ecstasy)

The accused was released from custody and has a court date in April.
