Nottawasaga OPP charged a man with impaired driving following a traffic complaint Saturday in Essa Township.

Just after 8 p.m., police responded to the complaint on County Road 10 where witnesses reported a driver swerving and passing vehicles on a solid yellow line. There were also reports of the driver throwing beer cans out of the vehicle's window before pulling into a gas station.

Officers found the vehicle and spoke with the driver, later determining he was impaired and made an arrest.

A 25-year-old man from Brantford was charged with impaired driving, and will appear in court in September.

Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a traffic complaint in Essa Township.
