Police investigate attempted abduction at Angus school

Police said a woman tried to pull two 10-year-old girls into a vehicle

Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a reported attempted abduction of two students at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School in Angus.

Cops were called around 2:15 Friday afternoon and were told that two 10-year-old girls were walking on the school property when they were approached by a female who reportedly tried to grab them to get them into a four-door, grey compact vehicle, which was described by witnesses as dirty, having a car seat in the backseat and black sun shades on the rear windows.

Police have a preliminary description of the driver of the vehicle as a bald man with a long brown beard. The female passenger is described as white with short blonde hair.

A police search of the area did not locate the vehicle or suspects. The students are safe and the school was placed into hold and secure while the search was conducted.

Police said the investigation continues and further details will be released when they become available.
