Southern Georgian Bay OPP charged two with impaired driving in Midland Saturday. One driver was impaired by drugs, the other by alcohol.

At 2:16 a.m., officers on patrol approached a vehicle attempting to reverse out of a parking lot on Hugel Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver and began an impaired driving investigation.

OPP investigated further at the detachment and charged a 31-year-old man from Tay Township with two charged including impaired driving and refusal to comply.

He was released, and set to appear in court in late September. He's also facing a 90-day licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound.

Eventually, a 41-year-old from Ajax was charged with impaired driving.

They were also released and set to appear in court in September. They are also facing a 90-day licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound.
