Cops seize two replica handguns and other items

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a suspect with numerous weapon and drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at a West Street South residence around 3 a.m. on Friday.

Police seized two replica handguns, numerous edged weapons, several clubs, a pair of homemade spiked “brass knuckles” as well as a quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine.

Charges against a 43-year-old Orillia man include four counts each of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to probation order and failure to comply with an undertaking, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, two drug charges and one count of fail to comply with a probation order.
