OPP conclude sudden death investigation near Highway 400 in Barrie

Ontario Provincial Police say the death of man whose body was found in the area of Highway 400 and Bayfield Street last Friday is not considered suspicious.

Around 4:30 p.m., provincial police were called to a report of a man found without vital signs in grassy area near the Highway 400 southbound off ramp to Bayfield Street in Barrie.

The 41-year-old from Elliot Lake was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a police news release Thursday, the investigation concluded that were no signs of foul play.
