OPP say trucker clocked at 101 km/h in 60 zone in Loretto

A commercial motor vehicle has been impounded for 14 days and the 30-year-old driver has been charged with stunt driving and other offences after provincial police clocked the rig travelling 102 km/h per hour in a 60 zone in Loretto.

Police say the trucker was pulled over on Saturday.

The driver was also charged with speeding, driving a commercial motor vehicle without a validated permit and failing to accurately complete a daily inspection report.

The company was charged with failing to ensure a proper daily inspection was conducted.
