
Due to the current heat warning issued by Environment Canada, the City of Orillia will open air-conditioned cooling and hydration centres for public use
July 13 to July 16, 2026. The City encourages anyone – especially those susceptible to extreme heat – to make use of the centres. The cooling centres will remain open until the heat warning is lifted.
Cooling and hydration centres:

Splash pads:

Beaches:
- Couchiching Beach is open with lifeguards on duty daily. Lifeguard hours have been extended to 6:00 p.m. (normally noon to 5:00 p.m.).
- Moose Beach is open with lifeguards on duty daily. Lifeguard hours have been extended to
6:00 p.m. (normally 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
