A suspect is facing drug and weapons charges after Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant on Sept. 25 at an Albert Street residence near Barrie Road in Orillia.
One person was taken into custody.
Police say the Orillia Community Street Crime Unit began a drug trafficking investigation over the summer, which led to the search warrant.
During the raid, police say they seized more than $10,000 in Canadian currency, a 29-gram gold bar, prohibited weapons, and a quantity of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone tablets, and oxycodone tablets.
A 37-year-old from Orillia is facing several drug and weapons-related charges, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
