Orillia OPP say they have charged an Orillia man with impaired driving and theft following multiple incidents on Friday evening.
On June 24, shortly after 5:15 p.m., officers attended to a report of someone causing a disturbance at a downtown business - the individual left prior to police arriving.
OPP say they were dispatched a short time later to an Atherley Road business related to the same suspect who had stolen items, and left in a vehicle.
Police say they located the suspect close by and arrested him.
A 33-year-old Orillia man faces charges including theft under $5,000, and operation while impaired.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is set to appear in Orillia court at the beginning of August.
Their vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license was suspended for 90 days.
