Provincial police are notifying residents and visitors in Orillia of expected traffic disruptions due to the public visitation for Gordon Lightfoot on Sunday.

The visitation takes place from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Church, located at 62 Peter Street North.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects is asked to attend the entrance to St. Paul's Church on Neywash Street.

Police say Peter Street North from Coldwater Road to Neywash Street will be closed to traffic between 12:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. OPP will be on scene for traffic control.

Free parking will be available and posted in all municipal parking lots. Visit www.orillia.ca for more details about parking, road closures, and transit diversions.

Anyone not attending the visitation is asked to avoid Coldwater Road between West Street and Front Street for the duration of the visitation.
