Orillia organization raised nearly $5,000 for Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital during Margaritaville-themed New Year’s Party

Grand Total of $4,660 going towards medical equipment

Ringing in the new year helped raise nearly $5000 in support for Orillia’s hospital.

The Best Western Mariposa Inn & Conference Centre’s annual New Year’s Eve bash saw attendees ringing in 2020 with some salty beverages during its Margaritaville-themed evening, all in support of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital

“Best Western has hosted this bash for the past four years and we are so appreciative of all the hard work that goes into it to support our Hospital,” said Lisa Wanamaker, Development Officer, OSMH Foundation. “It gives the community a feel-good way to kick off a new decade – celebrating new beginnings with friends while supporting a great cause.”

All told, $4,660 was raised for the hospital, with funds to go towards the purchase of new equipment for the medical centre.
