Orillia woman snared in alleged fraud at Parry Sound bank on Tuesday

The suspects are accused of identity theft and counterfeiting stamps

A long list of charges for a 45 year old woman from Orillia and a 48 year old man from London after West Parry Sound OPP were contacted Tuesday by a bank in Parry Sound about a transaction that just didn’t seem right.

Police arrested two suspects following an investigation.

The charges include identity theft, possession of an identity document, personation with intent to obtain property, counterfeiting stamps, fraud over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and use, deals, acts on a forged document.

The Orillia woman is also charged with failure to comply with undertaking.

The suspects have a date in Parry Sound court on Friday.
