Burger Royal Oro closing, saying future looks grim

The COVID-19 shutdown has claimed another small business in the area.

Burger Royale in Oro Medonte has announced it is closing its doors permanently. With concerts cancelled and cottage country traffic slowing indefinitely, the burger joint says its future looks grim. According to an Instagram post, the company says it will not be able to see it through the summer months.

“We will miss serving you at Burger Royale Oro, more than you know,” reads the online statement, “unfortunately, we will be seeing other small and local restaurants and businesses in our area also facing the same hard decision,”

Burger Royale Oro closed out its statement by urging everyone to continue supporting local businesses.
