It happens.

Sir Patrick Stewart says he is shrinking.

Yup! Captain Jean Luc Picard says he's shrunk two inches in two years.

In an interview with The Observer, the 83-year-old said he was concerned about it before talking to his wife, who chalked it up to the aging process.

My wife, who's younger than me significantly, has said, 'Well, it's ageing – you shrink.' I shrink? When will it stop!"

Stewart has been married to 44-year-old Sunny Ozell since 2013.

Meanwhile, Stewart is hard at work promoting his memoir "Making It So."

The Shakespearean actor turned sci-fi icon began writing the book during the pandemic and says he found the whole process therapeutic.

"I know that my therapist is one of the people who is most looking forward to the book. I know I'm going to be hearing, 'Why didn't you tell me this?'" he said in an interview with the Associated Press.

He adds that writing the book was some of the happiest days of his life.

"My wife said I would come down smiling and kind of glowing because of the whole experience of going back."

His book is out today.
