Pedestrian struck by train in Alliston

OPP upgrade charges after driver dies of injuries in Highway 12 crash near Gambridge

A 46-year-old New Tecumseth man suffered life-altering injuries after OPP say he was struck by a CPKC freight train on Friday.

Police say it happened shortly after 2 a.m. in the area of Boyne Street and 3rd Line in Alliston.

The man was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

Nottawasaga OPP are continuing their investigation with the assistance of CPKC Police Service.
