Sean Penn on the ground in Ukraine to film documentary

Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn is in Ukraine filming a documentary about Russia's invasion of the Country.

He was in Ukraine in November 2021, visiting the Country's military while preparing to begin filming.

Russia began a full-scale invasion of neighbouring Ukraine on Thursday.

Since arriving back this week, Penn visited with the office of the President and spoke with the Deputy Prime Minister and local journalists.

The office of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy issued a statement saying he "specially came to Kyiv to record all the events that are currently happening in Ukraine and to tell the world the truth about Russia's invasion of our country."

The documentary is a Vice Studios Production in association with Vice World News.

Avril Lavigne wants her friends to perform in Sk8ter Boi movie

Avril Lavigne says she's hitting up all her musician friends to be in her "Sk8ter Boi" movie.

It's been 20 years since she took over our TV with the hit song, and the thought of turning it into a movie has everyone losing their minds.

Plus, she has a huge list of people she can call to be in the film.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she says, "I was talking to Mark Hoppus the other day. I was like, 'Mark, you have to make a cameo in my 'Sk8er Boi' movie,' and he was like, 'I'm in!'"

She says she's also reached out to Tony Hawk to see if he'll play a skater dad.

In her interview, she explained, "I took my high school experience, threw it into a song, and now we're just going to dive deeper."

90's con features cast of Full House

A three-day event celebrating the best of the 90s will feature the cast of "Full House."

The first-ever 90's Con in Hartford, Connecticut, will feature Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, and Scott Weinger.

Other 90's stars include the cast from" Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," Boy Meets World, Family Matters, Party of Five, and much more.

Candace Cameron Bure says she will be "fangirling" over her favourite celebrities too.

The reunion will be bitter-sweet with the passing of Bob Saget two months ago.

In addition to the star power, there will be nostalgic exhibits, including Girl Power: the Exhibit and a 90's gaming booth.
