Southern Georgian Bay OPP say a person who was located injured near a public walkway in Midland around 7:30 p.m. on April 20 has died.
Police say they responded to Borsa Lane, near a public walkway from King Street to a parking lot where the individual was located. The person was transported to a local hospital and then to a Toronto-area hospital due to the severity of their injuries.
On Tuesday, authorities said in a news release that the person has since died of their injuries.
Police said they believe this to be an isolated incident and have no reason to believe there is a threat to public safety.
"The identity of the victim and the cause of death will not be released at this time," according to the news release.
