The cause of the fire is under investigation

Two pets died in an Orillia house fire on Sunday.

The blaze at the Douglas Street home happened around noon. The family was not home at the time, but as a result of the fire, they have been displaced.

Douglas Street was closed between Mississaga and John Streets as crews battled the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
