New this year: Mermaids and pirate names

New to this year’s festivities is a mystical mermaid. She will greet guests with shimmering tales from the deep and bestow a personalized pirate name to every visitor. It’s the perfect magical keepsake to remember your day at sea.

A site-wide adventure

From the tall ships H.M.S. Tecumseth and H.M.S. Bee to the lively play zones and craft stations, kids can:

  • Scrub decks
  • Craft parrot masks
  • Create their own pirate hook
  • Make a message-in-a-bottle necklace
  • and more ...

Don’t forget to grab a costume kit or eye patch at the gift shop to complete the look.

Roaming pirates will keep the laughs coming with stories, photo ops, and impromptu shenanigans. Meanwhile, Skeleton Jack, the site’s witty resident skeleton, challenges visitors with riddles and jokes that will test even the sharpest pirate minds.

Parrot Pirate Show

Pirates of the Bay Parrot Show

Back by popular demand and bigger than ever is the Parrot Pirate Show. This is a separately ticketed event where feathered performers strut their stuff in a fun, interactive performance. Tickets are just $5 (ages 2+) and expected to sell fast, so advance purchase is strongly recommended.

High-energy fun and historic flair

Between sword fights and treasure hunts, kids can burn off energy with bubble soccer and giant inflatables. Adults and older children can enjoy black powder musket demonstrations and live blacksmithing demos that bring 19th-century naval life to fiery reality.

When hunger strikes, head to the Scallywag Snack Shack or Shiver Me Sweets Shop for popcorn, cotton candy, and cool treats.
