Every Thursday night, Mike and Krista roll up their sleeves and get to work in the kitchen. They, along with friends, family, and neighbors, prepare hundreds of sandwiches for the David Busby Centre’s outreach program.
The assembly line is organized and efficient: participants make egg salad, tuna salad, and prepare meats and cheeses. They butter bread, assemble the sandwiches, wrap them, and pack them into boxes.
After the hard work is done, Krista treats everyone to a warm, home-cooked meal and drinks. This is just one example of the kind of generosity that makes the Rudkins family so beloved in their community.
