Plowy McPlowface made the shortlist: voting now open on finalists for Barrie snowplow naming contest
Voting closes at 4 p.m. February 10
One of the City of Barrie’s snowplows could soon bear the name Plowy McPlowface, should it get enough votes in the next stage of a snowplow naming contest.
Barrie City Hall received over 1,200 submissions to its Name the Snowplow contest, and have since whittled it down to a shortlist of thirty could be names for the city’s plows. Of those, only half will make the cut and it is up to you to decide.
The city is asking folks to vote on their favourite snow plow name. Will you choose the aforementioned Plowy McPlowface, or perhaps Al Plowcino? Winnie the Plow might get your vote or perhaps Catch My Drift, or even Loud and Plowed. The choice is yours. Vote online here.
Voting will take place online until 4 p.m. on February 10. The fifteen winning names will appear on the city’s plow tracker website.
