South Simcoe Police (SSP) were alerted by a boater who saw a deer struggling in open water on Cook's Bay, near Snake Island and Fox Island.
"Through teamwork and care, they helped guide the deer to shore, where officers ensured it made it safely onto land," SSP said in a post on X.
Police added that the deer is now resting in a "safe location."
