Police collar wanted man in Midland and say he had drugs on him

37-year-old arrested over warrant, accused of having cocaine and other drugs on him

Police in Midland say a man wanted on a few outstanding warrants is now facing a few extra criminal charges.

Around 2:15 Wednesday afternoon, an officer with Southern Georgian Bay OPP’s Community Street Crimes Unit spotted a man wanted by OPP in Orillia, at the intersection of Yonge and Seventh Streets. The 37-year-old was taken into custody on the strength of the existing arrest warrants.

Police say the man was in possession of some cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone, and hydromorphone when he was arrested and has been charged accordingly.
