Police confirm charges laid after game of motorized pinball in Alcona Tuesday morning

Charges include dangerous driving and drug trafficking

South Simcoe Police have announced charges in connection to the chase of a stolen vehicle in Alcona Tuesday morning.

Around 7:30, an officer tried to stop a stolen vehicle on Innisfil Beach Rd. in Alcona, but say it fled from police. The vehicle struck another and rammed a police cruiser, according to investigators, before coming to a stop.

Two people were immediately taken into custody, a third following a brief foot chase.

Police say today, all three, aged 25, 30, and 32, are from Barrie and face charges including trafficking, possession of stolen property, flight from police, and dangerous driving.
