Police cuff suspected serial thief after call about suspicious vehicle in Georgian Bay
Number of stolen goods were recovered
A report of a suspicious vehicle has ended with the arrest of a suspected burglar.
OPP officers were called out to Port Severn Road in Georgian Bay just before noon on July 13 with reports of a suspicious vehicle. Officers located the suspect vehicle and spoke to its driver. After further probing, police began an investigation into some stolen property.
Through this investigation, police say a number of stolen goods were recovered, including sailboards, dirt bikes, ATVs, a pickup truck, and a number of hand tools. Police say the goods were stolen from retail stores and private residences throughout the region.
A 31-year-old Wasaga Beach man is facing twelve theft-related charges and will be in Midland court in early October.
