Police seek witnesses after cyclist struck, critically injured in Innisfil

South Simcoe Police are seeking witnesses to a collision between a cyclist and a van in Innisfil that left the bike rider with life-threatening injuries.

At around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a report of a cyclist being struck by a vehicle in the area of Mapleview Drive East and 25th Sideroad. The cyclist, a 43-year-old Innisfil man, was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a Toronto hospital. The driver of the van remained at the scene and was not injured.
