South Simcoe Police were there at just the right moment and foiled what appeared to be an attempt to steal a pickup truck from a residence in Bradford.

"On February 11, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., while on proactive patrol, South Simcoe Police observed suspicious activity when two individuals ran from a blue Ram pickup that was parked in a driveway on Bannerman Drive in Bradford into a black pickup truck that was parked across the road. As police approached the residence, the two individuals fled the scene in the black pickup," according to a police news release.

"As the investigation progressed, police determined that it was a theft attempt on a blue Ram pickup, and the two suspects fled once they observed the police vehicle approaching the residence."

Police did not locate the suspects, but they have obtained pictures and video evidence.

Investigators are looking for any information on the drivers or owner of the vehicle.
