Separate drunk driving investigation leads to charges against Toronto man

Drunk driving charges have been laid after police say a vehicle left some damage in its wake.

South Simcoe Police say a vehicle heading northbound on 25th Sideroad around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday struck two parked vehicles as it went. Both unoccupied vehicles suffered significant damage according to police who add the suspect vehicle lost control as a result of the collisions. It ended up in the roadway just north of the vehicles it damaged.

Police arrived on scene and took the driver into custody. A 51-year-old Innisfil woman has since been charged with impaired driving. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Meanwhile, South Simcoe Police say a Toronto man was also charged in connection to an impaired driving investigation after a traffic stop in Bradford. Police say a vehicle was stopped for speeding, going 82 km/h in a 50 zone, around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

The 46-year-old man was taken to South Division and given a breathalyzer test. As a result, he was charged with impaired driving and driving while under suspension.
