Police looking for more victims after door-to-door scam in Snow Valley involving young girls

Kids were going door-to-door collecting funds, police say it was a scam

It appears two kids may have been involved in a door-to-door scam in Springwater.

Huronia West OPP say two separate incidences were reported on Monday of a pair of young girls going from home to home in the Snow Valley area of Springwater. Police say the girls appeared to be between 8 and 11, and fraudulently told residents they were collecting money on behalf of charities including an orphanage, Alzheimer’s research or Autism services. They were accompanied by a 2019 silver Ram pickup truck. The OPP say it has since identified the young girls as well as two adults in the pickup.

Police would like to hear for any victims of this scheme, or any witnesses to it. Contact investigators at 1-888-310-1122.
