Police on the lookout for trio accused of stealing a pair of hot tubs from Barrie store

Investigators say a black pick up made two trips

Police may have wished for a hot tub time machine following reports of a theft from a pool and spa store.

The Huronia Rd. International Pool and Spa called Barrie Police on Thursday to report the theft of two hot tubs. It appears the theft took place between 11:00 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on the night of March 30th. It appears the hot tubs were taken one at a time in separate trips.

A black Chevrolet Silverado pick up truck hauling a U-haul trailer was used in the theft. Police say the truck had a white rear-window sticker on the driver’s side.

Police have provided the following suspect descriptions:

  • Suspect #1: white male, 20-30 years old, wearing a dark coloured “FXR” jacket
  • Suspect #2: white male, 20-30 years old, heavyset, wearing a black ADIDAS hoddie, dark hat, and rubber boots
  • Suspect #3: white male, 20-30 years old, wearing white or light grey hoddie, black vest, white hat, and dark coloured ECCO sweatpants.

The stolen hot tubs have a combined value in excess of $50 000 and are described as:

  • Classic Coast APEX Bench (Tuscan/beige) Serial # 20020004
  • Luxury Coast APEX L Curve (Black/Midnight) Serial # 20010349
