Police probing suspected dog poisoning in Innisfil

Pet owners and parents asked to be extra vigilant

Police are looking for witnesses following the suspected poisoning death of a dog in Innisfil.

The South Simcoe Police Service was contacted Sunday by the owner of a dog who had died of suspected poisoning. The dog’s owner had recently taken him for a walk in the Webster Blvd. and Prince Ct. area, but the source and location of the suspected poison have not been determined.

Police ask anyone who may have seen something out of place in the area to contact investigators at (705) 436-2141. Pet owners and parents are asked to be extra vigilant and ensure your pets and children don’t eat anything found on the ground.
