Police seeking witnesses to serious crash in Georgina Tuesday morning

Georgina man suffered life-threatening injuries

Police in Georgina are hoping someone saw something leading up to a crash that sent a pedestrian to hospital with serious injuries.

Just before 5:30 Tuesday morning, York Regional Police were called to the area of Metro Rd. and Craigmawr Blvd. with reports of a crash between pick up truck and pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old Georgina man, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The pick up driver remained on scene and was not hurt in the incident.

Witnesses who have yet to speak to police, or may have dashcam footage of the crash, is asked to reach out to the Major Collision Investigation Unit at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7704.
