Numerous charges laid by OPP following crash on Highway 400 in Barrie

Police say they seized drugs, stolen property and break-in tools

Numerous charges have been laid against two people by provincial police following a crash on Highway 400 southbound near Bayfield Street in Barrie.

OPP say around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, they were called to a collision in which it appears a car plowed into the back of another vehicle.

Police charged the driver with impaired, and from there the investigation dug deeper, and officers searched the car and allegedly found $8,000 in drugs, as well as $1,000 in stolen property and more than $1,000 in break-in tools.

Charges have been laid against a 33-year-old Thornhill woman and a 49-year-old Toronto man.
