An air quality advisory is in effect from Parry Sound to the Greater Toronto Area.

The air quality index is expected to be in the high-risk range.

Environment Canada is advising people to limit their time outdoors, especially for those individuals with heart or lung disease, older adults and children, and people who are pregnant.

The air should begin to clear on Thursday, but there will be patches of local smoke.
