Port Severn woman succumbs to injuries sustained in Highway 400 crash

A woman hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Tay Township has succumbed to her injuries.

The OPP were called to the centre median of Highway 400 just north of Quarry Road just after noon on June 7. A southbound vehicle had rolled into the centre median and trapped the lone occupant. She was extricated by Severn Township Fire Service and rushed via Simcoe County Paramedics to Georgian Bay General Hospital and later flown to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

Police say she passed away on Friday. She’s been identified as 83-year-old Mary Fedoriw of Port Severn. The investigation into the collision that claimed her life continues.
