Forget a Paw Patrol and Minecraft-themed birthday party.

Spuds and books are what it's all about.

The idea for a potato book theme party went viral a few years ago, and it's making a comeback.

It all stemmed from this tweet by @njsimmondsbooks that said

Me, to my 11 yo: What do you want to do for your 12th birthday party in Feb?
"Her: I want a Potato Book party
"Me: What's that?

"Her: Just something I came up with. We serve six different types of potatoes, everyone brings their books, and we read. "Genius!"

The idea is making a massive comeback, with some sharing how they incorporated it into their parties.

One woman shared that her husband threw her a surprise spud party.

It just goes to show that potato love is real, and it is a reasonable party theme.
