It’s a tradition that’s 20 plus years old in the City of Barrie. Rose Romita is hard at work planning her annual free Thanksgiving Dinner.
The dinner is open to anyone who wants to join, Romita says.” You don’t have to be homeless or down-and-out. You can want companionship if you’re alone.” Everyone is welcome!
Donations are still needed. Romita says they need, water, juice, pop, and fruit. Cash is also needed to help with last minute items like coffee cream and tin foil. If you wish to donate you can give her a call at 705-796-7909
In addition, volunteers are needed for preparation the day before. Anyone who wants to help out on Sunday between 12-5 with set up or to peel vegetables is encouraged to do so.
The annual dinner is at Trinity Anglican Church at 24 Collier Street between 12pm-5pm.
