Province to replace new blue-and-white licence plates, admitting they’re hard to see in low light

Replacement plates to be sent to affected motorists

The Ford Government has admitted the newly issued blue-and-white licence plates are a problem and need to be recalled.

The new plates, which entered circulation at the beginning of the month, are difficult to read in low light. The Conservative government says the manufacturer – 3M Canada – needs to correct the problem.

Affected motorists will have the new plates mailed to them, perhaps in the next three weeks.
